Afternoons with Lindzey

Born and raised in Chanute, KS. Been in radio for about 10 years now. Married. No children. No Pets. I love: weird tv shows like Dexter & Nip Tuck and even more disturbing reality TV Shows like the Real Housewives of Orange County and VH1's Celebrity Rehab. I am also a major tabloid magazine junkie. I dislike: cooking, being put on the spot, Sandra Bullocks husband Jesse James, and the guys who sing in the free Credit Report Commercials. My favorite bands are Aerosmith, Motley Crue, and GNR! My favorite concerts were KISS & Rob Zombie and the band I have to see before I kick the bucket is Aerosmith.

U.S. 54 Bridge Y.C, Posted For Weight Limits
Posted by: Lindzey
February 6, 2012 - 10:21 PM

This week the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will post signs for vehicle load weight restrictions at the railroad overpass located on U.S. 54 approximately 1½ miles east of Yates Center. The load limits on the bridge will be: 15 tons for a single vehicle; 20 tons for a truck-tractor semi-trailer; and 30 tons for a truck trailer combination.

The weight restrictions will be in effect until the bridge is repaired or replaced. The overpass is tentatively scheduled for replacement in 2015 under the T-WORKS transportation program. The estimated construction cost of the project is $2.4 million. For more information about T-WORKS projects and funding visit the website, www.ksdot.org/tworks. Those with questions about the new weight restrictions may contact Priscilla Petersen, KDOT Southeast District public affairs manager, at 1-877-550-5368 (toll free).
